Bridgeporth (‘The Company’) operates in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act and is committed to respecting human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation core conventions. Operating locations may potentially expose the organisation and supply chain to the risk of instances of modern slavery (which encompasses slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour and human trafficking).

Human rights are fundamental to the Company’s core values. Our human rights approach is informed by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and applies to all aspects of doing business, our employees, contractors and suppliers. All affiliated parties are required to observe this policy and not engage in, facilitate or fail to report any activity that might lead to, or suggest, any breach. Any infringement of the policy is to be reported immediately.

Employee Rights (all workers will be informed of their employment terms). The Company:

  • Will provide fair terms and conditions of employment, providing wages and benefits that meet or exceed the national legal standards and complies with all applicable laws and regulations on working hours

Community Rights. The Company:

  • Will, where required by our operations, assess
  • Environmental and Social Impact and through community engagement identify potential human rights concerns in order to address them
  • Will respect the security of local communities. For instances where additional security is required the Company has implemented the Voluntary
  • Principles on Security and Human Rights, providing guidance on human right’s risks.
  • Will respect the cultures of indigenous peoples, recognising their rights to practice their customs and traditions
